Verdict

⚠️ [IDEOLOGICAL ALERT]: Presents a 15-year homosexual relationship as a normal romance in a light comedy.

In-depth analysis

Who Wants to Marry an Astronaut? centers its plot on David and Quique, a male couple in a relationship for 15 years, presented as a conventional romance facing routine. David, owner of a travel agency inspired by romantic comedies, plans an itinerary along Route 66 culminating in Las Vegas to rekindle the spark. This normalization of a stable homosexual union as the main narrative axis triggers maximum alert: the film uses humor and emotion so that the viewer accepts this configuration without questioning it as equivalent to any traditional romantic couple, without exploring consequences or alternatives to the natural order of human relationships.

In form, it is a light comedy without violence or crudeness. The romance is insinuated with tenderness, kisses, and travel situations, without explicit scenes of intimacy. The language is colloquial, with mild profanities typical of the genre. The 12 rating confirms its sensory accessibility for adolescents, but the ideological background makes it unsuitable for healthy family formation.

The story celebrates the commitment between two men as an aspirational ideal, instrumentalizing compassion and romantic longing to validate a vision of the couple contrary to common sense. Although it evokes loyalty and mutual effort—virtues in themselves—it applies them to a framework that blurs natural complementarity. Parents, discern: does this narrative help your children understand true love, or does it confuse them about the essence of the human relationship? Hope resides in stories that affirm fullness without distortions.
