In-depth analysis
The film The Chosen Ones tells the story of Ulises, a fifteen-year-old adolescent forced by his father to seduce young girls to incorporate them into the family business of forced prostitution. The central conflict is moral: a minor is dragged into the sexual exploitation of other minors by paternal authority. The work exposes unadorned the degradation produced by human trafficking, showing how family power is perverted to destroy lives. There is no attempt to justify or normalize the crime; on the contrary, the plot underscores the loss of innocence and the impossibility of escaping unharmed from that environment. The focus is on the human consequences of evil: manipulation, coercion, and the destruction of the victims' dignity. Although the theme demands maturity, the film does not introduce ideas that alter the understanding of the person or the family; its purpose is to denounce a criminal reality. The tone is sober and direct, without aesthetic concessions that soften the horror of child exploitation.
