In-depth analysis

The film portrays the friendship between two teenagers from Mexico City that is destroyed by a rape committed by a minibus driver with the complicity of the victim's stepbrother. The central conflict is moral and social: it reveals the devastating consequences of sexual violence against minors without embellishment or easy redemption. The aggression is presented directly and realistically, which creates a powerful impact on the viewer. There are no ideological elements that seek to redefine the person or the family; the narrative focuses on the concrete harm and the breakdown of trust. The language is restrained, and the violence is concentrated in the key scene of the abuse. For parents, it represents material that demands maturity and accompaniment, as it unflinchingly exposes the vulnerability of young people to crime and social indifference.
