Entergalactic (2022)

Entergalactic is a Netflix animated special that fuses sophisticated visual artistry with a contemporary urban romance narrative. The work follows Jabari, an aspiring artist, as he navigates the terrain of love and commitment after meeting his neighbor Meadow. The animation is vibrant and stylized, with an aesthetic reminiscent of urban art and hip-hop culture. Kid Cudi's soundtrack functions as the emotional backbone of the narrative. Thematically, the work honestly explores the conflicts between personal freedom and the surrender demanded by a genuine relationship — a legitimate and valuable theme. However, its approach to physical intimacy renders it strictly adult content. The sex scenes, though animated, are explicit and direct, including nudity and visual representation of sexual acts. The language is adult and frequent, characteristic of the urban environment it portrays. There is no deconstructive ideological agenda: it is a love story that values authenticity and human connection. But the explicit treatment of intimacy excludes it from the family domain. It is not appropriate for minors or for family viewing.
