In-depth analysis

The premise of this film is deeply problematic: it takes the suicide of an adolescent and transforms it into the engine of a romantic nocturnal adventure. The synopsis leaves no room for doubt: a boy with suicidal tendencies 'is willing to give his life,' and this is presented as an act of friendship, the beginning of a 'nocturnal quest' to fulfill his last wishes before dawn. There are no indications that the work problematizes this decision, exposes it as a tragedy, or shows its devastating consequences. On the contrary, the narrative tone aestheticizes the situation: what should be an urgent mental health alarm becomes a whimsical adventure between two marginal characters. The moral inversion is twofold: the vampire is too sensitive to kill (her 'problem' is being too good), and the suicidal adolescent is the hero who resolves the situation with his own death. This is not to honestly portray the pain of suicide; it is to glamorize it as a romantic solution. The sacredness of human life is subordinated to the fantastic logic of the plot. Not recommended for any audience, especially vulnerable for adolescents.
